Sedona is about 100 miles north of Phoenix. It's in the mountains a bit (5000 ft) so it is a little cooler than Phoenix. It reminds me of an old western Movie. I felt like a settler in the old west. The backgrounds there were just amazing.
We drove up from Phoenix early in the day to check out locations before meeting up with Missy and Brian. It's not a large town, but there are plenty of places to eat and stay. We stayed at The Southwest Inn which was very comfortable. The desk clerk was very helpful and pointed out some nice photo locations for us to check out. They turned out to be perfect and close.
Missy and Brian met us at our hotel and from there we headed out. We drove to the pre-planned locations, stopped, shot some, moved to another location, shot some more and just kept moving. Almost every place we stopped was a winner. The time of day was late afternoon and early evening which was perfect for our scenics. As it got closer to sunset, the temps got colder. Missy was great, as I know she was getting cold. Brian kept her warm though. All in all they were fantastic to work with and I got some awesome images, thanks to them. I can't wait for the wedding.
