Sara

Friday, after a busy week with 2 weddings and 3 engagement sessions, I had the pleasure of shooting model Sara in the studio and outside on a beach.

It was fun for me as it was different from the things I have been doing lately ( being the busy wedding season and all). Sara was wonderful to shoot. She is very nice and of course as the pictures show, very beautiful. Loren, Sara's Friend came along to support and help Sara. I ended up putting her to work helping me as well. Thank you. Loren.

It was a great session. We started in the studio. I had a very basic setup. I used two lights and some reflectors. The main light was a 1600watt White Lightning with a Octagon soft box. The second light was a 800 watt White Lightning with a strip soft box and I used it a back light, background and hair light. I moved and changed things up several times. I had a white paper back ground. After the studio session we headed out for our local beach, park location. This was 6pm. It was a beautiful day with temps around 79. The sky was clear. So I used the sun as my main light. No reflector. No flash. Just me and Sara and the camera. I had Sara turn her head into the light or I used the sun as a back light. It was a lot of fun for me as I said. Because Sara gave me some great looks. She worked very hard and was hungry and very tired by the time we finished. Sorry Sara, next time I will bring lunch.

Equipment: Lighting as I said. Canon 1D Mark III with a 70/200 ls lens 2.8. And a Canon 5D Mark II with a 24/70 2.8 lens.
