Favorites For October 2013
Samantha and Mark's Wedding 10/11/2013
I went to The Chesapeake Inn in Chesapeake City, MD for Samantha and Mark's wedding. It was a very rainy, wet day. So, everything took place indoors. Once again, I found every little spot possible for their photos. It turned out there were plenty of nice little corners that I probably would not have used if it had been a sunny day. Everything always works out and usually for the best. Samantha was very beautiful and Mark was a lot of fun. It was a great wedding. I enjoyed it.
Christina and Benet's Anniversary
I met my favorite bride Christina at the Chesapeake Bay Beach club for their 2nd year wedding anniversary. They were married here in 2011 but the weather was very rainy and we did not get any outdoor photos and no sunset. I was here to correct that today. The weather turned out ideal and the sunset was great. I loved working with this wonderful couple once again.
Coty and Tyler's Wedding 10/12/2013
Coty and Tyler's wedding took place at Westminster Hall in Baltimore. This is the burial spot for Edgar Allen Poe. This location is very interesting and different. It has many great spots for shooting. Coty and Tyler ware fantastic and I loved working with them. The wedding party was great as well and loads of fun.
Sarah and David's Engagement
Went to Goucher College Baltimore to start this session. Sarah went to school there and that is also where the two of them met. So this was very meaningful location. The next stop after a clothing change was Loch Raven Reservoir. It was a wonderful fall day and the surroundings were perfect for how they were dressed. It was nearing sunset so the shadows were very dramatic. I usually like working the crazy backlight for more drama. This is tricky as you have to block the sun at the same time.
Heather and Jeremy's Wedding 10/26/2013
Heather and Jeremy got married at The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. The ceremony was in the garden room. The reception was in the sunset ballroom. The weather was wonderful and we were able to get a nice sunset.
Adrienne and Matthew's Engagement
Went to Annapolis for Adrienne and Matthew's engagement session. It was a beautiful day. I generally like to start all my engagement session about two hours before sunset. Especially if it is sunny. But, other factors come into play too. Such as location, cloud cover and time of year. If the sun is bright, I like to work the last two hours in order to get dramatic backlighting and soft open sky light. Adrienne is very photogenic and a joy to shoot.
