Christine & Ryan's Wedding at The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club

Friday May 15th was Christine and Ryan's wedding. It was the perfect affair for this wonderful couple and it took place at the most perfect location. I started my day meeting up with Christine at the Hilton Garden Inn in Grasonville, MD. There she was getting her hair and makeup done by her friend and hair and makeup artist Sooin Kim.

Christine is a formal Redskinette and Ryan is a personal fitness trainer. We had a great engagement session back in the fall which was a lot of fun and we got some great images (many which are on my website) so I was very excited about shooting their wedding.

I hung out with her at the hotel getting hair makeup shots until about 4:30. Then I left to meet up with the guys I left my assistant Jodi with Christine. I met the guys at CBBC where we got their shots by the beach and also in the game room.

The weather was beautiful. temps around 80 with just a few clouds in the sky. No wind. The ceremony was on the water. Christine was beautiful in her wedding gown which was absolutely stunning. She was glowing as she walked with her Mom down the isle. The wedding ceremony took place with the calm waters of the Chesapeake Bay as the perfect backdrop.

After the ceremony we set up on the lawn to get the formal pictures done. I had a little catching up to do since I didn't get the girls done before the ceremony. For this I used my Quantum Flash set to 1/4 power. Then I took Christine and Ryan for some beach scenes. I only had a few minutes for this so I worked fast trying to get as many different looks as possible in a small time window.
After the introductions, first dance and toast we came back outside for the beach sunsets. For this I have Jodi hold my Quantum flash for better directional light. The most important thing is for them to enjoy the moment and I just try to capture that. They were very easy and fun to work with so this went very well.

The reception was a lot of fun. Everyone had a great time. Christine even gathered some of her Redskinette friends and we got some fun pictures of that. I enjoyed the entire day. Christine, Ryan and their friends and family were a joy to work with. Thank you all.
Jodi, you did a great job!
