Ashley and Chris’s Engagement

This engagement session kicked off in downtown Annapolis and winded down on the beach. We stayed close to the circle by the Capital building in a historical area with plenty of nice little spots to shoot. I’ve worked down here many times. I always find this area enjoyable.  After about an hour here, we headed over to a nice beach on the eastern shore for the second half of the engagement shoot. By using two entirely different locations it gives the couple more variety in the final images, which is nice. The evening came to a close with rain. Good thing it was during the end and not the beginning.

Jenna and Evan’s Engagement

I drove to Hunt Valley Maryland for this engagement session. Evan’s parents own a fantastic home in the horse farm country of northern Baltimore County. With a view of rolling hills, ponds, lush greenery and gardens it makes a very cool place to shoot. I enjoyed exploring the grounds for different photo opportunities and spending time with a great couple. They were very easy to work with and required very little direction. Maybe they were more relaxed, since it was home. I concentrated on the backgrounds and light and let them be themselves.

It’s apparent that they are madly in love. I’m looking forward to shooting their wedding next June at The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club.
